I plan on painting my TT and am going to use black extruded alum. on all of the edges. Would it be beneficial to reinforce the edges withe fiberglass tape?

I don't think tape/fabric is necessary, but, seal the open edge grain well with epoxy or similar.

I was pricing out CPES but that stuff is salty!! Is there something similar I can get from Lowes or Home Depot?

Steve I have a question . If building a woody I want to seal all edges with epoxy so when I put the roof on what glue would I use along that edge. Would titebond 3 stick to the epoxy or would you just set it in fresh epoxy. And would that be the same kind of epoxy you use as a finish. I hope that makes sense.

If you're doing a wooden roof like I do, just finish the edges with 'glass/epoxy over a rounded corner.
If you're covering the roof in metal, seal the edges, left square. I sealed the edges with epoxy after the roof skin, before the metal. Apply the metal with one of the popular choices. I used outdoor carpet glue on the only metal roof I've done. I don't think glue compatibility is an issue, since the trim holds the edges anyway.

I planned on a wood roof 1/8 inch ply so you just over lap the 1/8 over the sides and glass cloth with epoxy over the whole roof. I bought your plan guess I could refer to it . Thanks
