Hello to all.
I want your opinion on latch kits i want to buy on Ebay.
One kit offer a galley latch with 3 locking point an another with single point latch.
Do anybody had problems with single point latch on their galley?
Best regards.
Andre.

I use a McMaster Carr hatch on each side, so I'm not much help on your question.

I borrowed the idea from Larry S. and you can see his design here:

I've not had a chance to take a photo of my arrangement yet, but it is very similar to Larry S. which I added to my post up above...

Starwatcher,

If I understand your question correctly, I used the Galley Latch from www.teardrops.net (Grant Whip) with a single "T" handle.
I have have had no problems with this as yet but, I camp at our dark sky site in the desert most of the time and that means near to 3 miles of dirt/sand road each way, I will be adding draw catches on each side of my hatch just to be on the safe side.

I ran out and snapped a picture of the latch.

Like Alffink said, if you use the single point hatch from Grant, you can add the McMaster Carr latches on the side.

Notice the 1" x 1/8" aluminum that gets wrapped around the hatch?

I have a 3 point latch but haven't added the rods for the left and right points yet so just use the center one. No problems with it at all and I'm not sure I'll bother with the outer points at all.

Cheers
Steve

I just bought and installed this one

I usually use a 2 point but tried this 3 point. Its spring assisted, very simple to install, and works great.
