Hey Gang,
as I come to searching for 12-volt plug-ins I wonder where the best prices are to buy new. Salvage yard would be an option(Last resort). Can you buy them in lot form? What have you guys done? Thanks for all replys. John T.

Try automotive shops. They have ones that are used in the bed of a pickup and have a snap cover on them....

Middle section, right hand side....

I bought mine at Wal Mart. RV supply stores carry them as well.

Marine shops (ie: West Marine) are also a good resource.
Guess it boils down to how picky you and your wallet are.

Hey Everyone,
Thanks for your quick and informational insight! At my age (53 almost 54in Jan.ie. old, broke, and handicapped), and how bad the economy is it pays to ask questions and research what you need before blowing your Gas Budget doing it the old fashion way. LOL. Besides you get so many NEW LINKS in your Favs. to buy and research new items for the TEAR!!!!   I thank all who have responded with your thoughts on the matter!! Hope your projects or new ones are doing GREAT :worship: . See ya down the road- be safe-John T. :applause: :applause:

I have been amazed at how much Wal Mart has in the way of these items... I just noticed four choices of 12 volt utility plugs just yesterday! Also check truck stops. The big ones. They have whole isles dedicated to 12v accessories. I am sure they are not the cheapest, but a bird in the hand...

if you don't mind used, local junk yards usually have plenty of conversion vans in them, in addition to the one(s) in the front, often there are more in the rear for running tv's and games.....
