HELP--Awning question?

Postby MtrngMan » Sun May 01, 2005 8:20 pm

Has anyone made an awning for the side of their Tear? My wife made an awning out of vinyl for ours. Roughly 9 ft long by 6 ft out from the side of the tear. We'll be using 3 poles to support it out from the tear. :) My question is how best to mount it to the side or top of the tear. Has any one got any suggestions? I have included a link to the pictures of the refit of our tear and the awning.
Any ides will be greatly appreciated!

It would depend on how high your teardrop is but on the tent trailer that we had, there was a metal channel that the edge of the awning was threaded through. That wouldn't work though if your trailer isn't tall enough.

Mtrng,
Here is a previous thread with some info. Try using the search button at the top to the T&TTT page, you might find more...
