Some prop up device would be a real plus too for the underbunk storage. They certainly would get some good feedback from use Hunter owners if they came on this site.

They haven't said they will offer standard options like that. The AC wiring is a one-off. I will mention the options to Phil.

Right now Phil is not working on teardrops. He is creating a trailer hitch for my car, so I can tow my Hunter with the Stealth instead of my Isuzu pickup. I pick up the result tonight, and Phil and Duane can go back to building trailers and rebuilding engines.

When I saw your cabinets, I decided I definitely wanted some. Quite a while before I saw your cabinets, I took a picture of the interior of the galley with the hatch closed, so I could see what kind of clearance I had. At the time, I had no idea what kind of cabinets I wanted. I now have a better idea, thanks to seeing what you did.

I also use a small inverter for AC appliances, like the recharger for my PDA. Other devices I might take along (computer, DVD player) already have 12 volt chargers. I really see no use for AC myself, but a lot of people like stuff like microwaves and TV. If I did, I'd get a full sized trailer, not a teardrop with overvoltage.

We only use AC for my coleman xmas light strings, our in cabin DVD player and recharging camera batteries. I agree anything more just goes against teardrop logic.

When making the cupboards and drawers we had to be very careful about the galley hatch closing. The final design uses the maximum space the door allows. Just enough depth to hold our coffee perculator and such up top, and enough for good use of the cutlery drawer. The only hicup was the upper cupboards which cover about 25-30% of the bottom of the ventillation fan. I don't think it will affect it much though... will see next week when we off camping for 5 days with our new modifications.

Anyone ever see how much juice a typical 12v PC fan eats up?

Also, anyone have a idea where to get a thermostat that'd work with one? I plan on putting a 12v PC fan (80mm) and venting the cabin into the galley and need a thermostat to make it automatic.

A PC fan draws usually less then .7 to .3 A (700mA to 300 mA) Since it is a low voltage system, any thermostat that operates on low voltage NOT LINE VOLTAGE should work. My gas fireplace at the house uses low voltage. You may need to configure some sort of switching relay for the thermostat to operate.

My ventillation Fan is a 12V, .6A. Very effective and drawing in fresh area and venting state air out via the back galley. Its about 6 in in diameter.

Steve Fredrick has a nice system too... Steve, can you post some close up of your arrangement?

If you are venting in and out from the front/sides, does that mean there isn't a top vent/fan or is that in addition to?

I wonder if you could glue a bunch of those fans together to make a wall? Of course you'd cover it with plywood. If you need more ventilation, just drill more holes in the wall and hook up more fans!!!
