Well well well. After a long search, weve finally found a company here in Finland that can provide us with 5 foot wide aluminum as well as stainless for skinning teardrop trailers. This includes colored aluminum as wella nd possibly insulation. :)

This lead was given by a family friend who just happened to be delivering freight from Europe. Truckdriver by profession. This company has a warehouse not far from us. And will sell to us at a fairly reasonable price with no real freight or shipping costs. Since its local.

Its been a long search but another item to be listed amongst all the teardrop parts needed for building in our little part of the world. :D :D

Here is the website.

Here is a pic of their production line. Cutters and All.

That's great
I've used this guy http://www.alexmetall.de/
He's got it all and got good prices too. You can even find him on ebay.de
Transport was cheaper from Germany than the local dealer and he couldn't even deliver the sheets wider than 125cm (49.21").
Besides, Alex Metal got the blank/shining sheets and I like that look :)

Martin which of the alu (product number) Did you order? And thickness?

All Right another source for our part of the world. "Excellent". This will help the new folks from Europe and Scandinavia to obtain materials.

Hows your build coming along? Do you have all your trim on now?

The side trimming is installed without any problems....it even looks good  Have to dismantle them again because I have to seal them with butyl. Was concentrating on getting the fit first. Besides it was too cold to play with the butyl so I'll wait a little with that.
I'm ordering T-mould from Little Bear/Grand Whipp so I can get on with the doors too.

The alu sheets I ordered is 1mm thick

Pictures will come when I've resized them.

Martin if it looks good to you then you know its dunn right  The T Molding that we have here is so thick and its hard. Nothing like that to the product that Grant has. Besides his bends nicer and easier.

I highly doubt if we have it here in Viking & Reindeer Land.. or maybe we do but havent found it yet  ;)

I think I've talked with all alu suppliers in Germany. Sure, it can be made if I buy 8 ton at a time :o
Little over my budget and need :?
