Has anyone used shocks on there HF frame? If so what works best and how does the install go? The dicusions on torsion verses lesf springs has me thinking that to keep my tear on the ground I would need to install shocks. Or am I just over thinking agian.

I had thoughts of removing all but the main leaf in the spring and then going with a go cart shock. I found some that were favorable looking on this page http://www.jackssmallengines.com/gokaz_shockabs.cfm . I gave up on the idea as I've outlived my juvenile days and now I drive the speed limit, avoid those monsterous pot holes that I've heard so much about and drive slow enough for the road conditions. I guess that over 200k miles on our motorcycle with about 2/3s of it towing a trailer taught me that. Live and learn.

Problem is .. space. Not a lot of vertical space for a shock. I've thought about it and I'm sure it would help some, but for me, it isn't a major problem.

Maybe when I get some more time... one thing is the spring holder plate would have to be recreated with a shock bolt on it out of a heavier material.. The ubolts would have to be heavier.... then the frame would have to be beefed up to handle the load and another shock bolt added the frame, which is pretty whiimpy for a shock mount and might have to be boxed...... I don't see an easy solution.....

Would it be nice, yes... is it worth the effort, not sure.
