Blonde wood ply

Postby Psychohillbilly » Sat Jul 02, 2005 9:22 am

Good morning,
I was in Lowes the other day pricing materials. In compairing the price
of oak and birch there was also blonde wood hardwood ply at a much
lower cost. Has anyone used this and how well does it finish? Or is it
better to use oak or birch? Between oak or birch which is the prefered
type to use? Thanks for any input.

Just for grins, run down to the local RV dealer and take a look at all the different woods and finishes that they have used. It'll give you a good idea. MadJack and I were talking about how to build and what materials to use and we both came to the agreement that you are a lot better off to build it the way you want, a few bucks savings on the interior paneling isn't worth it if you aren't completely happy with it in the end..Some of the less expensive materials don't take dye and stain on very well and you could end up with a blotchy interior.... Just my thoughts on it....Doug Hodder
