I don't currently have mud flaps, but I am considering them because I always get alot of stuff on my trailer lights from the tires. Haven't looked for any yet, so I'm not sure what the options are.

Mud flaps cover the area behind the wheels so rocks, mud, and water don't spray behind the tires of a vehicle.

Most frequesntly seen on semi-trailers and redneck pickups, they generally have some type of funny saying or logo on them for the amusement of the person behind them to read while they are unpatiently waiting to pass them on narrow roads.

Anyone know the post of the cool teardrop logo someone made? I could just spraypaint the logo onto some plain black flaps? With their permission of course!

PS: most sign shops could make the logo you want into a stick-on for you

Speaking of mud flaps, it seems that some sort of "quick install/uninstall" flap for the tow vehicle would be handy too. It would help keep some of the rocks and crap off the front of your trailer. I go down some pretty nasty roads and I'm sure that the front of my trailer is going to take a beating.

Hey PurplePickup....here is what I did to protect the finish on the nose of my tear...Silver tonneau material padded....I can remove it when I get to where I'm going...MadJack...I wasn't OTR, just 'round town..and do you think we are going to have to tell Ira what a Binder is???.Doug

...Doug, the local boys get away with murder compared to OTR but as far as Ira and a 'binder wellllll unless you were on the farm or in the industry it's doubtful if you would know what a 'binder or a 'shaker is all about

That's right, Gage, of course, you don't know what mudflaps are. Only those of us who live or have lived in rain, sleet, snow and lots of mud, can relate to "mudflaps". Now if they called them "cactus, sand, rock and gravel flaps", those that live way out there in the desert, would know what they were in an instant.

Just kidding ol' buddy, looking forward to seeing you in Guajome, next weekend. I don't quite understand why you are not bringing your tear, but if you need a tear for just one person, swing on by and hook up the 1/4 Nelson, unpainted and all. It should be usable by then.
