Mechanical Door (Hatch) props

Those of you who used the Mechanical Door (Hatch) props from Austin hdwe. What size (length) did you use??

Geron,
I use this one. It is about 14+" closed and 27" when open.

I proped the hatch up to the height that would clear my noggen and then located the prop on the side wall allowing for hatch ribs, cabinets, etc.

I mounted mine with the stock brackets. I have since talked to Uncle Denny, he modified the side wall bracket to fit almost flush. I will modify the bracket next time. It works perfect just not as slick an install as Denny.

I think I got the same one 14"-27". At any rate, it was the biggest one they had. Don't know if you've skinned your hatch yet but I placed my props before I skinned mine. That way I could see where everything would lay out before I committed to screwing it in place.
