I finally got around to taking a couple of pics just before I left for Scout Camp.

Still have fenders to add.

if the URL that you are using doesn't end in .jpg or .gif then you have to leave the img tags off, and just make it a hot link to your pictures.

Go ahead and edit your message, and remove the img tags.

Wild Mike, It looks nice! What kind of finish is on the walls? Do you have an inside lip around your door opening?
Have fun with those scouts.

Just your every day WalMart kitchen and trim paint. I wanted something light colored, but not a stark white.

The little battery fan worked perfectly ... just open both the top vent and the bottom window and the fan circulates the air ... plus adds a little white noise too.

Yes the inside has about a 1/2" lip around to seal the door ... I just traced the door and added the extra.

I had a great time and my tear seemed to be the gathering place for the scouts.

Wild Mike, Next time you have an opportunity could you take a photo of the lip and post it? Also what thickness is the interior skin?
Thanks,
Clancy

Clancy,

I will take a photo of the door edge this weekend and post it on Monday.

The sidewalls are 1/2" Plywood with a hardwood veneer. I found them at Menards for about $25 per sheet.

The interior skin is 1/8" lauan with a hardwood veneer that I found at Lowes for about $8 per sheet. The roof bows were 1x2x4' clear popular at Lowes for about $2.75. I used 3/4" foam insulation inbetween the roof bows and then put on the exterior 1/8" lauan sheet. The floor is 1x4 framing (popular) with foam insulation and 1/4" plywood top and bottom. If I was doing it over I would have used 3/8" plywood on the top of the floor.

Be Back Monday,
Wild Mike
