Is the galley floor flush with the exterior walls?

Postby John6012 » Wed Oct 19, 2005 8:25 pm

I have the floor in and suddenly I thought, I goofed. I build the galley floor flush with the exterior walls but have seen pix in the Hall of Fame that have it somewhat recessed. Then I've seen others that are flush such as mine. So I guess it's a matter of preference right? Heck. I don't care as long as it doesn't leak. The lip of the hatch will overlap my flush floor. Aluminum, luan should fit tightly enough with rubber seal all around - I hope.

I have mine flush with my side walls. My hatch has the same lip on three sides (not the hinge side) and the same weatherstrip on all three sides.
