Gang-busters Progress

Postby JohnF » Sat Oct 22, 2005 4:13 pm

I received my HB trailer on the 13th of Oct. Since then have got it licensed, assembled, have the base frame made, covered with asphalt, have the floor on and primed, have the side walls cut out and door openings also cut out.
Need to put foam on the bottom and bolt the floor to the frame.

In a day or two I will have the sides screwed on to the floor/base assembly.

What's going to really hold me up is parts...almost everything has to be shipped in from the outside world.

Today I got the underside insulation cut, glued and screwed down with fender washers. I drilled the holes through the wooden floor frames and into the steel rails of the HF trailer, added adhesive caluk, and bolted the thing down tight. I also filled the carriage bolt head holes in the deck and will sand them smooth tomorrow.

Next is inletting the hatch cut-out from the sides, and ripping spars. Still going well. No serious boo-boos yet!
