Came across these and thought it might be really cool to just push a button and open or close your hatch. Just gettin ideas for my TD build...
It would be different

:) They seem too noisy, I sleep with the hatch closed and I wake up before my wife and the less noise I make in the morning the better off I am the rest of the day. First thing I do is open the hatch and start coffee.

Thanks for the plug Jack. I didn't use that type, I used a mechanism from a Kwikee RV step and a switch from a cars electric window.

But I just got a control unit from an A&E automatic awning. Remote control. It has 2 channels on it. I'll be using one channel for the Galley lid and the other channel to roll the stove shelf out. Thinking of using a power antena for that.

I'm trying to keep my trailer as origional as I can...LOL

Happy Trails

That's a good price on those actuators, I usually see them for more.

The theme of my teardrop is to be just plain retro. With or without electrical power everything works just fine with a simple twist of a handle. No power latches or gas filled hatch props and nothing to replace for the next fifty years if I'm so luck as to live to the ripe old age of 120.
