Here's my idea i can't find any 1/8 plywood and Darryl's idea of 1/8 paneling is good and it got me thinking (lord help us) what if i used 1/8 hardboard for the roof and covered it with kool-seal instead of aluminum? It would be a nice white and should be cooler. Would it stand up to wheather and the road? This will be my first trailer an i need to keep cost down (code for i'm cheap and if i spend alot of money on this trailer the divorce is going to cost me a whole lot more).
Not sure what you mean by "1/8 hardboard" but if you mean "tempered pressed hardboard" (aka masonite), it's what a lot of original teardrops were made of, and it was protected only with paint.
