Here is a manufacturer that says the Body should be mounted up.

There are special shock that are designed for mounting body down.

Thanks Tom, I'll go with this recommendation as it makes good sense.
It's an easy fix with swapping the ends.

In my opinion, using them occasionally while in storage will make them last longer.

I have the spring supports and love them. :D They are kind of expensive but worth it to me.
