I stumbled on this looking for alluminum edge molding. What's your opinion on using this to join the roof to the walls sealed with silicone instead of glassing the over lap then using the standard edge molding. Any potential problems. I really value your input. Thanks for any help. I found it at this web site http://www.brunnerent.com/Tools/Portfolio/frontend/item.asp?type=9&size=0&lngDisplay=0&jPageNumber=8&strMetaTag= The price for a 12' length is $21.48

Or...

Since I'm building my TD with 3/4" solid walls. Maybe this one

aluminum shrinks and expands at a much different rate than wood, keeping the seal water tight over time could be and issue, even with the silicone caulk. I can see using this for edging around doors and stuff, but at the joint between two walls you would do better to have epoxy, polyurethane adhesive (what I used), or just silicone caulk and a block of wood inside to seal the seams.

It'd be impossible to bend if you have any curved sections.
Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.
