Trimlok Window Gasket Material - Anyone used this?

I am still on a mission to build 3 front/side curve windows for our TD vs just buying one for the flat space in the front only.

Has anyone ever used this material. It seems like a relatively easy process if I had some lexan to cut the window out of, and use this for the seal. :NC

I even found a Youtube video on it that looks easy... famous last words right?

Thought, concerns?

I know it's been mentioned by a few members... But can't remember who it was, and whether they actually went ahead and used it! :? If you go to the top if the page and enter Trimlok in the search function, it should pull up all those posts for you...

Brian,

I used it on one of my trailers.

It was pretty easy to install.
I used the two piece trim, but same concept. Installing the glass (lexan in my case) was a chore, made easier by the use of dish soap.
I've been very happy with the results, still looks good and not one leak after 8 years.

Outstanding! That is exactly what I was looking for.

How much room smaller did you cut the lexan than the opening?

Brian,

I believe it was 1/8" but it has been a long time...

I had a local glass shop cut it for me, and the 1/8" was either from them, or Austin Hardware, where I bought the material.

Gotcha,

Thanks for he info. I'm more motivated now to make my own. Looks pretty easy, given what it is, and the tight tolerance that I'm sure are necessary.
