New Windows

Hello All. Hope everyone had a good holiday! We drove up north to see family, and while there I was discussing my teardrop build with my father in law, who happens to be quite the craftsman, and works at a marina. Well, he gave me a couple of "portholes" to use in my build. As you see, these are not your typical portholes, but I figure I could find a place for them. I'm thinking on using Grant's Lil Bear windows in the doors, and these towards the galley end, for a little more light.

What a deal, and opening ones at that. Good for you. :applause: Bet they'll look great in your tear.

I've wondered how mixing window styles might look on a tear. I have Grant's windows in my door, but would like some more light....

Arnereil, take a look at Cabinetmaker John's tear, he has two different styles of windows.

Yep, I'm happy with the score, now just to figure out the proper placement.

Thanks Finn. Now I am waiting for my Father in law to find and send the screens for them. They sure are well made portlights.

I am thinking of using the non-opneing version for the front of the tear now. Have to figure out where to put the opening version.

Just playing with the ideas.
