I'm 6'4" 265 lbs., my wife is 5'7", and my dog is 85 lbs.. We need 10'. ;)

6'4" Holy smokes! :thinking: You know, that curled in front and rear, you'll lose about 8".... but you've got room to play with that 10' of course.

Don't forget to use a 3' tall door opening or you'll be hitting your head every time you sit down to get in. Do a mock-up once you think you have it figured out & find out how it works before you start chopping up the wood! Cardboard, a pencil & an eraser (the best design tool) will be your friend, once you think you have it figured out.

On my model they are 38" tall.

After going back and forth on some designs I finally got my wife to agree to a profile. Thanks Dan (kayakdlk), we stole your profile for all the same reasons you decided on it yourself.
