If you have a Torsion Axle i need your help!

I am in the process of trying to build a sketchup of a new project. I am wondering what you all's height is from the ground to the top of your frame (Right above the tire), My trailer currently has springs so i cant really use my ride height dimensions to plan it. I am trying to make a standy that is garage-able And the only thing i am missing is an average ride height of a torsion axle.

Also if anyone has adjustable spindles on your torsion axle do you know how many extra inches i could get by adjusting that as low as i could such as 10 degrees up? Thanks

It all depends!
On mine the spindle lines up with the chassis when fully loaded. On some others it is a foot below the chassis. It all depends on the start angle you order or - in the case of adjustable axles - that you set.
You need to decide what you need, and order that.

Thats why i would go with adjustable and forget ordering the right/correct angle, for a dummy like me i know i would screw up somehow and wished i ordered a different start angle!. I appreciate your response. I just wish i knew what the normal ride height of a torsion axle was. I think 22 degreess down is what is most common for people on here when the order torsion axles (unless like you mentioned the wanted a different start degree. For the most part im just trying to figure out the difference between springs and torsion ride height (a normal 2000lb sprinng axle ride height vs a torsion ride height.

It is mostly about Dexter axles. Flexride specifications are similar. The start angle on Flexride is adjustable, but limited.

Bought a 2000lb flexiride axle derated to 1400lb.I ordered it at 22 deg. up,but adjsted to 28 deg. up for build height.Very happy with it.

Wheel and tire diameter make a difference, too, so it is not all about suspension.
