Polywall flexible panels

I was at the local “Orange Box” where I spotted (near the FRP fiber glass reinforced panels) some interesting 4x8 foot (by 1/16 inch thick) flexible plastic panels called “Polywall”. They are bright white with one side textured for adhesive. (So white that some folk seem to be using it for a projection screen!). The sticker warns against use in highly variable temperature environments like trailers and RVs. I doubt they like much UV and I am not sure they will hold a protective paint, but maybe there are still some RV uses.

I used the polywalls to cover my ceiling area (interior), glued over 2mm ply. PL300 glue seemed to be the only thing that really held it well, even contact cement would not hold. Give it about 1/4" space for expansion/contraction. I did the latitudinal gaps with cedar strips and the wall-ceiling gaps with 1/2" sisal rope. It forms up really nice, is super easy to clean, but it cannot be used on exterior surfaces or in areas with extreme temps, like exterior. It is recycled plastic. I also used the leftover pieces to act as a sliding surface for my slide out galley, for my cabinet bearings to run on and works wonderful. Once again, easy to clean up. I originally bought 4 panels and still have a fair amount of the stuff left over in pieces.

Be aware that it will crease really easy and if using on a ceiling it requires a substantial support system until the glue dries.
