Hi
Has anyone had succcess bending 6 mm / 1/4 inch marine ply sideways over 20 inch (front) and 48 inch radius? ( hatch)

Or is one layer of 4 mm enough???

thanks, Bill....

I recon youll struggle with at bill.
Mines 3mm outside and 4 inside.
Your probably better off doing 2 layers if you want it that thick.
Im sure its possible but will be a hastle

I got 5 mm marine Okoume to go around a 13-1/5 inch radius, but I did have some trouble and one area that puckered a little. I ended up reinforcing the whole front radius with a layer of 6oz cloth and epoxy to stabilize it and stop micro cracks from forming. Mine came out okay as the slightly puckered area is not so visible in the front cabinet, and given the lighting no one will probably ever notice it, but if I was to do it again I would go with two layers of thinner material on the tightest bends.
