It may be okay in the long run as long as nothing catastrophic happens to one of the wheels/axles.
I can't see taking chances like this to save a few bucks on materials, less labor or to gain better gas mileage with less weight.
I would not want to be anywhere near this trailer while it's on the road.
In my opinion it would be best to mount or weld the axles to a steel chassis.

Posted: Wed Apr 27, 2016 12:42 pmEven if there is structure above the plywood, the wood might compress at the inboard attach point and cause many problems, alignment being one. The wood does not look water proofed. The wiring job does not look like it is here to stay. Just me, but I do not like the looks of it.
