hi i`m building
Mikes weekender http://mikenchell.com/weekender/final.html
and was wondering if there is any reason not to move the back of door
closer to the fender ?? it calls for 19 inches from the front of the camper
i have more then enough room to push it back 6 inches and not be to close to the fender
i would like a little more room between the head board
and the edge of the door
and maybe widen the door for my fat butt to fit in easier if need be ..ha ha
thanks
Chuck

Sure make it wider... and push it rearward if you like. Other than aesthetics, as long as it doesn't hit anything, you should be ok... check for interior cabinets, windows (if you have any in the side), fenders, wheel wells, you get the idea...

thanks Mike

i really should start a build journal on my weekender
i never really ran a saw before or any other woodworking tools
so building this weekender has been one heck of a leaning curve
so far i having i`m having fun with this build and learning a lot
thanks
Chuck
