I wonder how the first foamie and PMF builder was received. With all due respect, I prefer to study the lessons of practical knowledge but I also believe in experimenting and looking at things in different ways. At least in this "leisure time" endeavor, where I'm doing the work, I don't have the resistance of a contractor, like I do as a design professional when I specify that something be done in a new way. Contractors hate that.

I do respect your views and appreciate you taking the time to discuss this, and admire your work.

Found an example of the general direction I'm leaning, in particular the hatch and frieze or fascia that is attached and overlaps the wall, which lead me to the idea of the roof attached to top of wall and hatch sitting atop the wall. gallery/image_page.php?album_id=1089&image_id=120240
