Ok I've done the search routine, tried alsorts of different key words but still cant find what Im searching for and that is, does it matter which way my doors open (suicide or normal)
this is the shape of my door and I'm wondering wether to hinge at the front or rear of the door. Input from the experts is appreciated :)

I only hinge the front of the door. Should the door ever come open while driving you stand a good chance of losing it.

My tear is "normal" works perfectly fine. My old Scotty is "suicide". Only advantage I see...it helps me stay awake on longer runs. I check mirror repeatedly, in terror that it will spring open! (in fact, during rebuild, I wanted to turn door frame upside down and cure this....Darlin' bride expressed her thoughts....just keep watching mirror!) Coyote

Whichever flicks you big understanding the obvious disadvantages of a suicide door but it is not a worry if ti never flops open! Hell you can do a Delorean top hinge! 8)

In my case it was simple, suicide doors wont clear my fenders, looking at yours, you might have the same problem.
