Building a Teardrop? I'm giving away mine.

Postby ChuckG » Sat Jul 18, 2020 7:20 am

Hello all. I built a Cubby about 17 years ago. It turned out pretty well, but I ended up not using it much. It's been sitting in the weather all those years, and there are a few interior water stains. I think it's still structurally sound though.

I'd like to give my Cubby to someone who'll do something useful with it. Perhaps it can be repaired (check for mold). If nothing else, the HF trailer, windows, top vent, hinges, handles and lights could be used.

I live in Southern Wisconsin. Anyone interested?

Wow, generous. If I wasn't 20 hours away I'd be all over that.

Hey Chuck, how far are you from Milwaukee? That's where I'm at and am gearing up for a teardrop build. Would love to take a look at it.

I'd also be interested. I live in Fond du Lac. I'm about to sell my foamie and want to another this winter.

I see a couple of you may be interested, and another guy sent a pm as well. I hope it works out for one of you.

FYI, I live just North of Elkhorn, WI.

I suppose the only fair way to do this would be to take the three who are interested in the order they arrived. That means Capt. Badger is first, the pm I received is second, and pmullen is third. I'd like to do this one guy at a time, just to avoid having someone make the drive here, only to find the teardrop gone. Hopefully, this will work for one of you to take it fairly soon.

Capt. Badger, would you pm me if you're still interested and we'll see if we can set this up?

I still am interested and I've sent you a PM, but it appears to be stuck in the outbox and hasn't actually sent.

Quick update...CaptainBadger is going to take a look at my teardrop on Saturday. I'll post or pm again then, to say whether or not he decided to take it.

One more update...
CaptainBadger stopped by today, and did take my trailer. I wish him well on his upcoming build.
