Laminated SIPs?

Have you used it before? How is it different from the water based contact adhesives sold Home Depot?

I used it to attach the rigid foam insulation to the aluminum skin of my trailer. I chose it mostly because of it's low VoC (I didn't want to be sleeping in a vapor chamber), and the high temperature characteristics (the skin of my trailer often reaches 140F when parked in the summer sun).

Not having used the HD stuff, I can't compare the two products.

Several folks here on the board have used the Fastbond 30 and 30NF (search the archives) with good results.

I recently used a hole saw to cut a hole in a panel I had vacuum clamped. The foam insulation was nicely adhered to the plywood skin using titebond.

These seem like a great approach to SIPs, especially for the DIY
approach. A 4x8 "4in" only weighs 40lbs. Don't know if that is
true thickness or the 'nominal' like in 2x wood as they embed
studding in them.

In the desert SW vehicle surface temperatures of 220F are not unheard of for various paint colors. The whitest whites usually maxed around 190F. The house roof insulation foams I've seen in Menards, Home Depot, and Lowes were all only rated for 180F to 200F. The only easily found spray in foam I found over 200F was Versi-Foam (http://www.rhhfoamsystems.com/) which has a number rated at 250F, but not all of theirs are rated that high. Nice thing is R-7.7 per inch for a few of the ones that have 250F service ratings.
