I need to replenish my sorry stock of fasteners for my TD build...Wondering if anyone in their planning process listed out the common fasteners (sizes and approx number) for your TD? I've got a Johnson Distributor catalogue on its way to me and I want to make one big order to see me through. I know its a long shot, but thought I'd ask!
Thanks!

I bought #8, square drive, falt head wood screws from Rockler.
They came in 1/4" increments from 1" log to 3" long.
I bought 100 of each length and had to reorder more on the 1 1/2", 1 3/4", and 2" lenghts.
Also bought #6, philips head, stainless steel, flat head in 1/2", 3/4", and 1".
I used less than 100 of the 1/2" but over 300 on the 3/4" and 1"
Also a few 3/8" bolts for the wood to frame attachment.

Hinges with holes every inch eat up a lot of screws.

Thanks Malcom- just the kind of estimates i am looking for. Johnson's prices are pretty reasonable, but hardware can add up quick when you need to buy a bunch...I hate having to stop what I'm doing and run out for screws half way through something. :x

3/4" #8 Stainless Steel Screws were definitely my favorite. That allows 1/2" material to settle nicely onto other material. You can quickly go through a box of 100. I also used a box of 1 1/2" square head SS screws to put the spars on.

hey all,
i bought and used up 5 lb deck screws, used mostley 3 in and 1 5/8 for everthing only other fastner used was 3 1/2 carrage bolt w/locknuts to attach floor to frame.i got by with just those three but mine is biult with 2x2 frame and 1/2 ply outside and 5/16 inside.might not work for you.mine is overbuilt in my humble opinon.whuddya think?i got too much wood, too many screws, too much insulation, too much weight, and im havin too much fun!
