Light, cheap, why not?

That's a good idea Pat. My last two cars have had smooth underbody coverings. I'll look into buying a 4x8 sheet of coroplast.

It helps to know someone with a sign shop. Big box stores can often order it for you.

I got mine free; used political signs. The campaigns are happy that someone is willing to collect them and dispose of them.

I can think of several that deserve no better!

I find the idea that it's a political sign down there satisfying. And not just because I'm recycling.

Careful, guys.......it's a small step from anti-political to political speech. Would hate to see you break the rules after such a nice turn of the conversation. ;)

Point we'll taken. I am not anti-political, anti-government, anti-progress, anti-media. I am anti-blatherskite and the media that endlessly cover them. I'll stop there lest I'll be accused of being a blatherskite! ;)

I had to look that word up. I fear it may be too late for me, but at least I'm a non-partisan blatherskite!

Ha ha. It's my new word of the day. Stick that in your Wordle and smoke it!

Edited to eliminate stupidity

I'm having a lazy Saturday today so forgive me if I'm factually imbalanced or wrong....... someone posted on here (or was it another forum?) a long while ago about chasing the aerodynamics tail needlessly with our teardrops. Essentially the trailer is following behind the TV, in 'dirty'' air, not the smoother air the TV is originally breaking. If the teardrop was in front of the TV, that's a different story, therefore the aerodynamics argument point of the teardrop, is moot. Dont get me wrong though the teardrop or aerodynamic shapes we use are dead COOL looking, generally pleasing to the eye of the beholder, with our individual practicalities of use added in. '
For my builds any shape better than a brick outhouse is okay

In addition, from previous posters above: A four inch mattress is too thin UNLESS you invest in a darned good one.
33 inch cabin height space is really impractical once you've been out a few times. Go for a 48'' and give over to some real breathing space

Thanks for all the feedback folks. That's why I ask. Because I often find that my thinking has not weighed all the issues. I am redesigning to have my head forward.

I'll stick with the 6" mattress unless I find a good 4" or 5". The mattress is the last thing I will be buying and I'm just getting started so I have a few months, maybe many months to find that. I may raise the overall roof height a couple inches but that will effect my range.

I'm not living in the camper, just sleeping. My plan is to create a side tent room to allow for sitting in a chair reading or just taking in the view during bad weather. I also will have my car to sit in if it gets really bad and that is totally waterproof, warm or cool (when in "Camper mode") and very comfortable for reading or taking a snooze.

I know this is all a compromise compared to the typical RV experience. In my younger years I got used to sitting in a small tent when weather threatens. When it comes down to it, I'm camping.
