I remember some TD having straps to limit the opening of the cabin doors. What have you used? Pics would be very helpful. Thanks.

Rayand Debby,

Have you seen this one? 1" nylon web strap from Home Depot. 1 1/4" screws with finish washers. I gave it a pretty good test without the window in place. I have the ends of the strap folded over and I heated a wire to melt the holes in the nylon.

I used a leather belt (wallyworld) tthat had two rows of holes the full length. I installed it with screws through the holes.

Sorry no pics, but it is similar to the eairlier pics.

Thanks for the tips. I think I'll try the nylon stap with finishing screws.

Jack, where do I find those nice clips? That looks exactly like what I had in mind, but couldnt find in the box stores, so I thought I'd try the straps.

I think that Mike A got some either Model A or T straps to hold his back...I got nylon strap, had a shoe repair store sew them up with loops..and made my own brackets....the big thing is to not let the door open too far, especially when the window is open, for those of you with the crank out windows...I open one window for ventilation, and lock that door so no one opens it up and nails the side with it...on the door that opens for "tours". I keep that window closed...I do like Jacks idea however....just a thought...Doug

Great fabric on the curtains Steve  ...I've got a bolt of that one and the blue color way in the store now....making a shirt....

Straps don't prevent the door from closing when you don't want it to close. So I fabed a couple of rods that hold my door in place. The one for the left side holds the door open at 90 degrees. That's the side that my extra room is on.

Have a good day.

Ratcheting straps make an easy donor...They'll never miss a few inches. Double over the edge to keep the screw from ripping through.

I used this door retainer to hold my door open.

It is similar to MadJacks but made of plastic. It works great and the price is right.
