After several attempts at mounting my gas shocks I looked at the photo at http://www.outbackteardrop.com/pics/b87.jpg and I installed them in 5 minutes, thank you Outback ;) . I used 120# gas struts and they work just fine. The doors & drawer fronts are made from Canary Wood, with Walnut bead trim. The self edge on the tops is a gorgeous piece of fiddle back eastern Maple. Later I'll make a matching cabinet on the upper wall to hide the wires and give some shallow storage. The upper top is 42 ½" from level ground and the slide out tops are at 36" from level ground. The Outback stove/oven slides out for use. I made the doors to the cabin too and I'll post photos after I make sliding doors & track on the headboard cabinet. 8) Danny

Thanks for the flowers, Chris, Amy, Paul C, Tom S, Doug, Rainjer, OK Jewel & Apratt. :shake hands:

Amy, It was great meeting you, what a nice young woman :) . Now you need to build that tear around the p-lam I gave you.

Doug, I painted that light, the one in the cabin and the 2 porch lights with plastic paint in a rattle can, seems to stick pretty good. Having a shop of about 1,000 sqft and work in it every day and you have to keep it clean and organized. 8) Danny

We may have to talk about you building my cabinets. I grew up in a cabinet shop & that is quality work. I love the mix of wood.

Ok how much

Danny,

That is a beautiful galley! REAL classy!  Those cabinets look like designer cabinets, and I really love that stove. I am guessing that you are using a cooler in the car, as I don't see a fridge, unless it is hiding behind one of the doors. Love the counters, too. They remind me of the counters in my son's new home, which I have only seen in pictures. ( I hope to get to see it when we visit them this summer) Love that pull out work surface between the drawers and the cabinets. Can you say---CONVENIENT???

Be sure to show us the galley again, when you get the cabinets on top added. I know that it will be even nicer looking then, though it is hard to improve on as it is. I will show this to my hubby when he gets home this evening, and will save it to my favs, too. :R

By the way, my dad's cousin lives in your town. I haven't seen him since 2003, when he came to my dad's funeral. I guess he still lives there. I think that the name of the town may be a Native American Indian name. I think he told my daughter about it, etc., but I am not sure if I remember all the details.

Blessings,
Cindy
