Mouse....I use 3M marine adhesive sealant 5200, it's a polyurethane caulk, probably won't find it at a HD or a Lowes, available at West Marine or probably many of the other marine suppliers....it ain't cheap...12$+ a tube, and 1 is all you'll need, but it is made for above and below waterline sealing...stays sticky for a couple of days, is a pain to clean up, a little goes a long way...but it seals like a champ, stays flexible, white color only...I use it for transom tubes in boats...and since I'm building a woody, I use it to seal the area where my aluminum edging overlaps the wood sides, prior to installing the maple framing....works great!!...not the same thing as a latex or silicone based caulk...just my experience with it....Doug
