Hey, I react differently to this now:

Who was the member here who's friend recently lost a finger helping him? I know you didn't mean anything by it, but man, was that ever a bummer to hear.
Here we go again!

Boodro--you're right, I should have made the distinction so that no one would think I am some type of 10 fingered 2 thumbed freak. Oops--that's not PC. Sorry to all those 10 fingered 2 thumbed freaks out there!

Besides, our thumbs are the only reason that our dogs let us be the master. If they had thumbs, they could open doors and cans of food and would have no use for us. We would be dog food!

So, my amended list--2 eyes, 8 fingers, 2 thumbs, all my toes, and a wish for a third arm and hand to help when I am building stuff! (Note the thumb====>)
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).

Just when you think a problem is solved, an uglier result replaces it.

Boy, can I relate to the "help" comment. I work in a one-man custom furniture shop and sometimes things like desks and diningroom tables get to large and heavy for one person to handle..............especially around delivery time!!!!!
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

Bent-nose pliers. More uses than you can think of, and often the only tool that will do them:

Most important tool is the computer through which we stream music. Mrs. Dog and I need the radio playing in the garage while we work.
