For these not familiar with an Explorer Box, they are a DIY Tent Topped Camping Trailer. Their design is inspired by the simplicity of vintage Tent Trailers. They are compact, lightweight and tailored to smaller vehicles. With their lightweight and ample space, they make smaller vehicles a practical option for away from home adventures. My original Explorer Box thread.

I’m currently prototyping a new aluminum version for our Explorer Box. The idea is to offer an easy to assemble, complete kit form of the Explorer Box with a pre-fabricated aluminum trailer box. The modular nature of the kit will make it easy to configure and tailor it per your needs as a Gear Haul or Tent Top Camper.

Stay tuned, more information coming soon …

Thanks ... yes very shiny, I was out by the shop the other day and from the house, with the afternoon sun hitting it, there was a lot of glare coming off it.

Here it is in a Tent Topped camper configuration.

Here is a look inside from the front, I'm currently working on a bolt-in front galley for it.

Also have a nice tongue mounted bike rack in the works for it.
