Hey Ron,

I followed that link. I didn't see any aerodynamic bicycle trailers. However, I did see a slide show for some clothing optional tropical resort. Nice picks. Lots of lovely naked bodies. :SG

And if you think that 'velomobile' looks like hard work, you'll want the Aerorider with electric motor assistance:

In case enthusiasm sets in, I should mention a price of $7,000 ex taxes in Holland.... For other velomobiles, visit your 'local' site - the North American Velomobilist Website.

I attended a 'velo' convention. There may be some place they would be practical, but not anywhere I've ever been. Even the electric assist models are not that fast and certainly are not SUV proof......

I ride an electric recumbent, and the best places seem to be those lucky enough to have a bike trail near their house that takes them close to their place of business... I know several who have that lucky combination and am envious of them.

I suspect they seem to come mainly from Holland, Denmark and North Germany for a good reason - they are flat regions, where the weight is not too much of a penalty, and they have civilised road systems with good, going on superb, provision for cyclists.

Except for wind, Holland is a great place for human powered vehicles. They have separate paths along side many roads for pedal powered vehicles, with their own traffic control signals.... and there are so many (or there were in the 70's when I worked there) bicycles, that they are part of the commuter system, not some toy ridden once a month like here.

So, I suppose they would work best in a level area where they are expected. Or here, as mentioned, on bicycle paths where the path can be used conveniently on a daily basis.
