Tales and Trails under new ownership...

Postby mikeschn » Mon Jan 03, 2011 7:24 pm

Geoff asked that I share this message with you all!

Mike...

Dear Friends in Small Trailers,

Tales and Trails has long been an eagerly awaited read for those of us that love our teardrops, small trailers in general, and all the good times they bring to us. After a long and resplendent run, Lisa Whipp, with Grant’s blessing, have decide to hand it over to myself, Geoff Kooris, and my long time camping comrade in arms Doug Wingate. Tales and Trails will be taking a cross-country trip from beautiful California to here in New England, Connecticut to be exact.

To this end - we are reaching out to all of you. If you are a camping group or club, please send us your information to share on gatherings, trips, or what have you. If you’ve got a rebuilding technique, repair tips or tricks, or a great source for vintage parts, let us know. If you’re going to a campground holding a special gathering that you think everyone should know about, please share it. If you have a great fireside recipe that you and your family would like to share with your camping friends, bring it on. Read about maintenance techniques, campgrounds, favorite vendors, travel experiences, and features on products and the ‘Homebuilt of the Month’ – submissions encouraged!

By the end of November, 2010, the new Tales and Trails, a full color magazine will be sent out by email on a bi-monthly basis. It will be in the form of a PDF. This will require an Adobe® PDF Reader®, which is available to all for free at Adobe.com. Subscribers to the old Tails and Trails due refunds should contact Lisa Whipp directly.

The first two issues of the NEW Tales and Trails will be free to all who request by sending an email to [email protected].

Hopefully, you’ll like what you see, and you’ll sign up for a new subscription at $30 per year, which will include the remaining four of the yearly issues, plus the TD Directory, which will be printed, not emailed. Subscription for the magazine only will be $20 per year. Payment will be accepted via PayPal, or personal check.

We’ll have non-commercial classifieds available at $5 per ad for subscribers, and $10 for non-subscribers. Ads are 1/8 of a page size (8-1/2 x 11 page), and may include a photo, or a link to other photos, or both. All of your copy and photos will have to be emailed to us, as we are a totally digital publication, with the exception of the TD Directory.

Keep those little wagons rolling,

Geoff and Doug
