Are you color blind?

Postby mikeschn » Wed Feb 15, 2012 12:57 pm

Is anyone here color blind and having problems with the colors being used. Let me know, I have another style you can try.

Mike,

I am not color blind, but I was having trouble reading the new look until I enlarged the font size with the tool in the upper right corner.

I'm color blind in certain colors & hues of colors.
Have a hard time with the green & brown wires when wiring a teardrop.
Good thing most wires are labeled
I have problems with blue & purple and some pinks
This looks like a light blue of some kind.
One of the reasons I make my text blue & bold is so I (and others) can read it better and I like the look.
I didn't find the color pallet in this topic.:(
Color blind doesn't mean a person can't see color, it's just they see colors different from the average person or not at all.
The world is a very colorful one to me but during the course of my life people look at me strange or make comments if I say the wrong color.
I have been tested by the Society Of The Blind and others and, yes, I'm color blind in the sense of the term.
I think everyone else is color blind, not me:)
Is the other color available in the user control panel? Thanks, Danny

I've noticed that a few of Mike's recent threads have Smilies and BBCode turned off. Not sure why.

(which is why the quote won't show up right)

OK take a look at this link and you will see how to make sure that BBCode and Smiles and signatures work in your posts

Kerry, mine are all set correctly.

The Smilies and BBCcode are only disabled in recent threads started by Mike. To the right of my reply box, is clearly says BBCode and Smilies are OFF. And I cannot change them in THIS thead.

Same thing happens in these threads as well....

That is weird, especially since I can go in and change them on each post. I will try changing the first post of this thread and see what happens.

Looks like all of your settings are correct, but I tried a test post and you do not get the option of the BBCode, smiles, or signature!! :? :?

I have no idea how to fix that.

You do not get that in other threads, right??

Haven't had the problem in other threads. Its only threads that Mike starts. Not sure if its all of them or not though. Looking through some more right now. I know that its separate from this site, but I'm meandering through the ACP on TJ's to see if I can find some magical setting that might cause that to happen. Could it be Mikes default posting settings?

Figured out it has something to do with the Notices forum defaults for standard users. I have no way to enable BBCode or Smilies in ANY of the Notices threads.
