The Winners

Postby mikeschn » Mon Dec 05, 2005 4:29 am

This has been an extremly difficult contest to judge... there are so many good entries... Even the judges didn't always agree. Finally I had to bring in a 4th judge to act as a tie breaker. So after much deliberation, here are the winners...

1st Place...

2nd Place

Mike was right...the judging was VEEEEERRY difficult. All the entries were excellent and believe you me, we sent a lotta email back and forth over the entries...first to whittle them down to a handful and then to put 'em in the finishing order.
My hearty congratulations to dacrazyrn for his stupendous cloud pic, to Wright for his coffee pot...looks like one of my campouts and to 48Rob for bringing it all home.
Y'all deserve your prizes as the best of the best and everyone deserves a round of applause :applause: :applause: :applause:

Art is an extremely difficult subject to judge and I think you guys did a great job with your final decision. I have been involved in many art and photo exhibits and contests and "narrowed" the field down to about 12 - which included these 3 great shots.
Congratulations to the winners and congratulations and thanks to all the entrants for the wonderful artwork.

Maybe next contest should be something a little easier

Thanks alot to all for the praises and all. It is really appreciated!! This is sweet!!
If anyone would like a print of this I do have them available here
DPCPrints
and will drop the price In Half over the next week for a print through the place I have it available.
I also have it available on my website, if anyone wants a custom matte and/or frame. I will half the price here also, but you will have to contact me to order that first ([email protected]), so I can change some things, etc. I do have a certain frame that I like to use (cut and built myself here-Frame and Matting) but could possibly do requests for matte colors and frame designs/colors, etc if I can find the frame requested or build it. I have that set up here (the prices shown are my normal prices)
Mushroom Cloud
Of course it does not have the watermark through the middle! :)

Thanks again all!!

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE WINNERS!!!!! :shake hands: Some really good entries.

That was a really tough job for the judges. I picked two out of the three, so I have to say I agree with the final decision. Good work to the three Stooges and one Phantom! :applause:  :applause:

I'd like to give Mike a BIG THANKS for putting up the prizes for this contest!!! :applause:
This was a great contest based on the amount of entries submitted.
Mike says it's going to be a while before we have another contest... He's tapped out for prizes. :(
If anyone would like to donate a prize for an upcoming contest, let us know...

That is because it comes off my website, and it provides some protection from people stealing it.

The watermark is my name. :)
