Thread Notification Without Posting In That thread

There are times it would be nice to follow a thread without posting in it but still get new posting notification.
Is there anyway this can be accomplished?
Can a "follow this topic" button be added?

Danny, there's a check box at the bottom left of my screen "Subscribe Topic". Check it and you can follow the discussion. On the iPhone, there's an option in a drop-down menu to allow you to subscribe.

In the extreme lower left corner of any topic viewed in a browser window there should be the following words in a blue bar

Board index Subscribe topic Bookmark topic

Click on the Subscribe topic portion. You will then be subscribed. If you are already subscribed it will state Unsubscribe topic There are tiny icons in the row as well, check marks, tiny home symbol, etc...

That should be there in any browser. That comes from the forum software. It is not a part of the browser. I have no idea what appears if one is using a phone or with tapatalk

In tapatalk there is the button in the far upper right with three dots in it. Touch that and "subscribe" is an option.

Thanks for the response but it's not there on my 22" screen running Windows 7 & IE 11.
I looked in the lower left, and every other corner.
My glasses are fairly new so I don't think that's the problem.
I've even looked in user control panel and couldn't find anything.
All the years that I've been a member I've never seen such a feature or I wouldn't be asking the question.
Oh well.

Well, darn it all!!

It's there in Chrome and it's there in Firefox. But I do see that IE11 only shows the Board index link in the lower left corner. Yet another reason to go away from IE. I like Chrome best myself.

Well we live in Microsoft country and Google Chrome tries to slip in as my default browser.
Don't like big companies trying to elbow in after one another so I only use Chrome when absolutely necessary, not as user friendly as IE 11.

Its a "Board" (software) feature has nothing to do what browser you are using....

Personally I find IE very obnoxious and written to MICROSOFT rules.... Not to HTML rules which Microsoft tries to derail.....

Was a Firefox believer for many years (Since Netscape) and lately its gone off deep end, and CHROME is the clear winner (at the moment)...

I found it at the bottom of Safari used on my iPad. I never knew this feature was there. I clicked on it for this thread just to see how it works.

I am running Ubuntu, Opera and Chrome. I do not see it anyplace.

I know that feature was there before the forum software change.

Microsoft can take their software and........................ well ,you kown.

I am long past tired of them subverting standards.
