Heres my entry. I bought this aluminum and glass sailboat deck prism off ebay. It will have 2 led arrays on either side to illuminate it at night. Power consumption during the day 0 power, at night 52mA.
Cost $33.35 auction Prism, Led's 11.99 = $45.34
It also goes wth the nautical theme of mine.

Here are my lights,

Bought the utility lights at Autozone for about 4 bucks each. Milled a piece of cherry to take the switch and light and also angle them down a bit. These will go right inside the door. The map light came from an R/V store for $17. I made the cherry base for that, also. The new hotrod has an all cherry interior so these light should be right at home.
