Why are photos large and text small?

Postby lrrowe » Mon May 22, 2017 8:46 am

I have a question about the photos I view. Sometimes the posted photos are very large and the text very small (not readable). Other posts have what I can standard size photos? Do I have some setting wrong or am I missing a way to work around this issue?

When people upload photos with tapatalk, they can be really huge...

Thanks Mike.
They end up hard for me to work around and read, so for most of them, I move on.

Can you link to a couple of examples. Maybe it is not the same for everyone??

Have you tried different browsers to check if it is a browser issue or ???

Basically it boils down to people being lazy and not using their resizing app. We have a preferred size so that does not happen.

Thanks Paul,
In a way, they may lose some viewers like me as I do not take the time anymore to try and increase the text size to read the post. If I cannot read it, I cannot help out with reply posts.

MtnDon, here is an example. I cannot read the text w/o taking the effort to manually enlarging it. Which I will not do anymore.

Well, I see the problem when using a device with a small display. You have the choice to blame the person posting the message with the huge, 3264 x 2448 pixel image or of blaming the forum software accepting the post of such a huge image.

On my laptop, using the Chrome browser with a 15" screen the text appears normal size but the image overflows and requires me to scroll the page sideways. Same thing with the Edge browser. On my 7" tablet using the Android version of the Chrome browser the picture fills the width of the screen and the text is reduced to impossible to read. The Android version of the browser just works differently.

If the software is supposed to downsize the image it does not seem to be working correctly as that link has a large 3264 x 2448 pixel image that hogs the screen.

Try: right click on the photo & choose 'open image in new tab'.
