New gigabit line

Postby mikeschn » Tue Jun 13, 2006 5:27 pm

Tonight my FORUM ISP is installing a Gigabit fiberoptic network line... We may or may not go down for an hour...

But for sure, when all is said and done, we should have lots more bandwidth available to us! 8)

I'll be watching too, in the event I have to fix something. :?

What do you think? Does it seem faster now?

The increase in speed is definitely noticible... I hope they keep it that way!

It seems about the same here at home. There is usually a lag between when I hit "Back" and when the page pops up at work. I'll have to try it when I go in tomorrow night.

...the main thing I noticed was consistency of speed...no more fast one click, slow the next...hope it stays thisaway...

Hi Mike,

I have to agree with the rest. The site is consistently faster. Thanks!

Yup, it's better here at work. Not necessarily faster but like everybody says, more consistant.
