Been playing with this idea for a few days, trying to determine what would be the smallest TT one could use long term. Early in the design stages, But I could see myself building this one day.

I currently own a 15' Sunline, and a 13' U-Haul Fiberglass Camper. They might not be a Teardrop, however, I've always loved small campers. Go for it!

Hi bg,
Your plan looks amazingly like the one I'm in the midst of building. I guess great minds think alike! (I got some plans from someone else)

I actually like that Mike, it is a bit long though.

The way-to-heavy frame.

Image

All 2x3x3/16" Angle.

~250lbs bare frame + ~150lbs for the axle/tires. 400lbs rolling chassis.

Overkill, yes. But It's still lighter than Dean's frame for the copperwood was. I think for my purposes it's a compromise, Good for long term in one location and robust enough for cross country trips and some light offroading.

I want to stay under a ton, and around 200lbs tongue weight. I think both are possible. Not that either are a huge concern using the van to tow it with.
