Great job! I would be interested in the complete process that you used to seal the outside and what kind of paint was used.

Ditto for me as well.

Frank,
That is a great looking trailer. I would also like more information on the covering. From the pics it looks like a solid piece of molded fiberglass. Wow!

Ok, here are some unfinished pictures, Linda is still working on the inside so will have finished pictures tomorrow night.

This is all we have available right now, will give inside pictures and another galley picture tomorrow night.

The trailer was covered in Epoxy, sanded, primed, sealed, painted with a base, pearl, clear coat. My first time using the epoxy, so had a very hard time with getting it smooth, so there is some waves, scratches, etc. But it is White and weather proof! If I ever do this again, will sand the wood slick(smooth) before putting on the epoxy. I thought this time that the epoxy would fill, it doesn't just amplifies what is under it. Like clear coat.

The paint is Duponts Chromabase Paint. Which is their mid-line.

Tomorrow was a little late, we worked and worked to get to Little Talbot, and have been sick since, 1st time felt like doing anything. Will get some of the galley in the morning, have to clean it up some.

you wouldn't want to do the New Yankee Workshop thing and sell measured drawings, materials lists, and a how-to videotape, would you?

Because, seriously, I am awestruck.

Laredo,

It's really not that hard to do with the table saw and bits, Very Scary, but not hard. Had a little trouble with chipping out the wood on the ends and members of the board put me straight. Was taking too big a bite. Go Very Slow and CAREFUL. YOU CAN DO IT

Frank,

I'm working on a Weekender myself (every slowly) and have always had issues with the hatch construction. I've toyed with the idea of the usual lifting hatch panel and then two opening doors for the flat back end, but find your all-in-one construction interesting. Can you tell me how you have connected the sloping roof with the verital back section to make it structurally sound?

Mike,

Was pretty sure that's what I saw on Frank's galley photos, just wanted to make sure. Of course, I'm a long way away from worrying about the galley hatch but I like to work these things out mentally in advance.

Thanks,
Clay
