Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

there exists a real problem with attending a large gathering and staring at vintage trailer sites, especially when there is a 3000+ mi. trip involved ...it causes one to come up with new ideas. I was sort of thinking of something along these lines...rear like a 1936 Palace, front end like a 56 Spartan, add a trolley top full length, and not shown...tasty little awnings for the windows like a 37 Vagabond. 2 tone paint job, cream and sea foam/sage green with hunter green pinstriping for the color seperation and fenders. All radiused corners approx 1.5". A real early 40's type of look.

I'm sure it will change and morph into something slightly different, but I like the overall lines. Maybe do the wire spoke wheels without the skirts like Martha's tear, Grants Delux fenders with the 39 Ford taillights, thinking that maybe a barn door rear end with a couple of faux windows in it, rather than the full hatch, just not set for sure. A hatch does provide more environmental protection....Whaddya think? Windows in the trolley top? Window in the front too? Exact name to be determined... Sorry for the "pencil cad" that's what I got, or know how to use... Doug

Dumped the old pic...thought this fender and wheel combo looked better...

Doug, the only problem I see with that is you would hit your head on the hatch. If you made the hings up around the curve then it could work. Nice design though. :thumbsup:

I didn't show the hatch fully raised Arthur...but I do recognize that I need to work on that portion...I measured it up after I had drawn it in and realized that I had a problem, just trying to make it one flat sheet with no curves involved...answer...taller sticks! or I could just always dig a hole behind the tear to stand in.. :lol:
