What do you think of a stagecoach tear

Did you just design your very own teardrop or tiny trailer? Want to discuss it? Here's the place to post your design for discussion!

What do you think of a stagecoach tear

Postby Lone Wolf » Thu Dec 16, 2004 7:20 pm

Chech out my photo album and please give me some feed back on your thoughts. :frightened: I am wondering if there will be room for wheel well behind the door. I am thinking about building interior like the baja benroy. I would like to hear both pros. and cons. Also the wheel well will be covered with a removeable panel to access tire and wheel. Width will determined by axel.
THANK YOU.

That's is really unique.

You could always take it a step further and use 4 wheels (like a wagon) instead of the traditional 2 wheels. :?

And then..........how about trading in the ol' horseless carriage for a good nag.

You could do some cool things with that idea. I like the idea of four wheels, but that might make it more fish-taily at high speeds. Ever been behind a UPS triple trailer? Those things snake all over the road.

Maybe you could design it so the two front wheels retract up during travel, and lower when parked.

Hmmmm

Never thought of that! I don't see many configurations like that, but I have seen a few logging trucks with a similar trailer, and yup, that's scary even when they are going slow.

Or maybe even a painted shape of a wheel and tire.

:) Thanks Dean, Larry & Karl. I have a 1 Hr. Commute To Work so I have a lot of time to think things over. I though of it yesterday on the way to work. So when I got to work I drew up some quick plan and then refined them when I got home. I will try to get them finished today after work along with other views to post.
As for the wheels I was thinking about buying 2 - 24" and 2 - 18" wooden wheels to put on when parked. the drivers seat will be just for show I am afraid. I don't know if I can reinforce ft. wall enough to support the weight of a person.

It's on the T&TTT site, so no problems on turning off your computer.

Now you need a dummy dressed as a 49er up in the driver's seat. Now that would get some attention!
