Ah, I see the problem. You live in a fancy neighborhood with rules like, "thou shalt not clutter up your back yard with trailers"!

My backyard has a shed for storing our tear, a hot tub for relaxing after a weekend away teardrop[int, a bunch of fine trees to remind us of camping and a double chair lift from a local ski resort that we are going to convert into a swing or something... oh and a deck and 3 ponds. But there is still room to park what ever the future may provide!

Yup I'm not a woodworking sort... I'm best with puters and the like.

I haven't built a TTT or a TD yet, but very interested in them.
Andrew, could you please put some dimensions on your Tidget1?
I like that one very much.

I drive a Nissan Crewcab 4x4, and go hunting in some rough, wooded country, so I'd like a TTT that can go nearly anywhere my truck can go, yet be big enough to sleep 3 occasionally - wife, 13 yo son and me.

I'm tired of setting-up and taking-down tents! This past November it rained on us everytime we went to the woods, so the tent had to be RE-setup and taken down right after we got back. Tedious.

Thanks for your efforts, Mike. The Winter Warrior is very interesting and I may build something like that - haven't decided yet.

I plan to use propane appliances for cooking, heating.
I have a small window unit A/C for the summer. My wife hasn't gone camping with me since we moved to OK, 10 years ago, whereas when we lived in South Dakota or Washington (state) she loved to go camping. I plan to use 12v flourescent lighting, with a solar panel to charge the battery.

I've just got home after some time away - hence the delayed reply. The latest versions of the Widget and the Tidget are here:

Widget 5

Both are shown on a grid of 12" squares. The Tidget has become more like the shape of a Tab, while the Widget has altered shape a bit to increase headroom and now has a heating stove.

Thanks, Andrew! I like the TaB design, but the factory model is too expensive for me. My dad just looked at one the other day in Ohio - $13K.

I see several different sheets of plywood which of the 3 ways do you joint your plywood?

The sides are 1/4" luan. The will be butt joined. The floor is 3/4" plywood. It's is also tongue and groove plywood, so I'll just glue that together.
