Ron D.'s trailer questions pictures and plans

Postby Ron Dickey » Sat Jan 29, 2005 3:10 pm

I thought I should put it all in one place so I can find it.

I had Said Jan. will start my trailer.

I have drawen an Idea, found trailers that are like I would like to do. told people closer to me that I will be starting it ... so they will ask how is that project comming. We layed in the back of the truck to see space width.
I have been pricing lumber. I may put up my pcv and canvas carport and use that to build in but winter will blow it down so that will happen in summer. I printed out pictures of trailer types for story board. and will start drawing on computer, chalkboard how I want the walls to look.
Soon I will catch up to Dave K. if he can be found ... he is off snoosing in he new teardrop buy some lake.

This trailer will start out in the back of my truck then be moved to a utility trailer later.

My wife has one of those big "O"s birthdays in Feb. so cleaning the house and fix it ups are a priority. But I will keep reading, and watching you folks and clapping as you do good.

the type of trailers I am thinks of that come close to what I want.

Ron,
When I read your post, I was a little surprised at first because you didn't have a poll of somesort. I was thinkin' about giving you a special title... like "Head Toll Taker" or "I M Pollbot" or something along those lines, but you let me down.
My advice...get it refined on paper, computer file or whatever first, just don't drive yourself crazy doing it.

Psst...Do you dare say what "Big-O" that will be? :D
(I've got a BD coming up in February too)

Dean happy almost birthday (she was born in 55.. You did not hear it here),

I thougth you were going to call me the "Post hole digger" because I have more polls on the grounds then any one else. I must do some good ones!!

I will see if I can come up with a good pole for you.
  .... ;)

I prefer to keep the polls in the poll place cause I have bombed several times after writting a long speach. :?

I came up with a name for my trailer

I reflects more the guy who will be sleeping in it .... but I will have to ask the wife she may want something more down to earth

The Punstear

 thoughts

if my name was Jack I would call it jack in the box.

I might come up with a better name or I could rename it when I have had to much

Hey dean I like this little guy :rofl2:

Well I came up with a new name for my trailer

I desided that Punster offered room for falt it I do a bad job they will call it a bad pun

So I came up with the title which I think will be more fitting

The Box Kite

it will be made of wood, cloth and be tied to a trailer one day.

there is always room for improvment. In that way if I drill a hole in the wrong place I can cover it with tape.

I am beginning to think that the Galley in the rear should use a metal frame to hold it there would be a lot of weight there.

A swing away tire rack might to the job better.
maybe I can find one in a junkyard.
I could have a hing simar to the ones on a ranch fence gate, to it could be lifted off.

if the rear gets to heavy I will have to have the axel even father back or have a double axel

Ron

Go to http://tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?t=2236 for futher into on my trailer now called the Boxkite.
